Under the Skin

that part that acts like acid under the skin you can look but don't touch
that feeling that we've met before that you know you don't remember, lying under the skin like a foreign alien to your own land
that you are allowed to see and age, like ink under the skin; being held in place
that you used to have a trajectory that used to look like a discarded fax; landing under the skin, it gets all waded up in tape
that place where others simply disappear under the skin and I just walk directly above head
that way it feels like a breeze for me, but just and poisons you under the skin like blades of grass made out of rusted nails
that way that the rest of them do in their sleep what can't be photoshopped under the skin
that seeming funny foundation to have under the skin which is where the foundation can't dig deep enough to reach
that I normally reserve for lovers the free roaming hideousness under my skin
